Cousine Island, with an area of only 25 hectares, is one of the smaller of the granitic islands, and is situated approximately 6km off the west coast of Praslin, Seychelles second largest island. The island is a private nature reserve, home to five of the Seychelles endemic birds as well as a variety of other endemic flora and fauna, and has the status of being the only island in the archipelago free of alien mammals. Cousine Island offers an exclusive island experience with complete privacy found in very few other places on earth. A maximum of ten guests are accommodated at any one time and share the island with its natural inhabitants, offering some of the greatest nature watching available in the Seychelles. As the Island's creatures have no natural predators on the island, they have no fear of humans and often one gets the feeling of not knowing quite whom is watching whom! Flight Details: A 20-minute flight from the International Airport, past the Ste. Anne Marine Park, and with a good view of Cousin, Aride and Praslin Islands as one approaches the destination. Considerations: All reservations must be made with the Lodge and are subjected to a confirmed booking for accommodation. Helicopter Seychelles only accepts bookings from Cousine Island Lodge, whose conditions of sales apply. To make a reservation please contact the Cousine Island per phone: +248 321107, fax: +248 323805 or e-mail: Tarrifs
